The MiG-35 test complex will end in 2019.
RSK MiG is planning to complete the full test cycle of the newest light fighter MiG-35 next year. This was stated by the General Director of RSK "MiG" Ilya Tarasenko.
As Tarasenko explained, now the plane is at the production stage and in the near future the first batch of six aircraft will go to the Russian Aerospace Force. At the same time, the final tests of the aircraft should end in 2019. According to the director general of RSK MiG, the plant is capable of producing 36 cars a year and in the future replace the entire MiG-29 fleet with a MiG-35. Also, if necessary, a ship version of the fighter can be created on the basis of this aircraft.
Tarasenko noted that the option of installing a radar with AFAR is now being worked out, there is already an experienced copy of the station to be installed on the MiG-35 and in the future such antenna will be installed on the plane.
The corporation also mentioned that the MiG-35 is participating in the Indian tender for the supply of 110 Indian Air Force multi-purpose fighters. At this stage, the Indian military received all the necessary documents on the aircraft and are studying the proposal.
The MiG-35 is the newest multi-generation fighter of the 4 ++ generation, which is a further development of the MiG-29K / KUB and MiG-29M / M2 aircraft. According to the developers, the MiG-35 will be able to use the whole range of existing and advanced aircraft armament.
